He is the son of Oscar F Barnes and Mary Gillespie. [1]
Mr. Barns married Elvina Chapman Strother , 23 June 1897, by Rev. N.F. Marshall, at ?arisburg, VA. Their children: Mary Strother, who died January 5, 1920, when twenty years of age, and Oscar Fitzalen( Jr. ?)[2]
