Nancy was baptised on 25 September 1765 in Gloucester. Her parents were Joseph and Elizabeth. [1]
On 5 Sep 1785 she married Isaac Gifford at Frampton Cotterell. [2] Nancy and Isaac baptised 14 children between 1785 and 1807. After 1795 she was known as Ann.
A search for a death record for Nancy and marriage between Isaac and Ann between 1796 and 1798 proved fruitless, while there is a definite death record for Nancy in 1829, so it is assumed Nancy and Ann are the same person. Further research shows that Ann's maiden name Barnes was given on her daughter's baptism certificate.
Ann was buried in Frampton Cotterell, on 20 September 1829 aged 68. [3]
