According to her death registration, Sarah (Annie) Ann was born about 1863 at Mitta Mitta, Victoria. She is the daughter of David John Barns and Rose Ann Johnston.
In 1884, she married Chester Henry Haines, at Deniliquin, New South Wales. [1]
The next year they registered their daughter's birth in Victoria. A son was born in 1888. Also in 1888, Annie's husband passed away. He was only 27.
In 1902, Annie married John Simmons, in Victoria. [2]
Annie passed away in 1958, aged 95. Her death was registered at Yellingbo, Victoria. [3]
On the 1st September 1958, Annie was interred in the Lilydale Lawn Cemetery, where she was joined by daughter Adelaide in 1973. John Simmon's grave is alongside.[4]
