Biography

This profile is part of the Barnum Name Study.

Mrs. Iona Whybrew quietly marked her 83rd birthday anniversary Tuesday at her home at 1415 Minnesota Avenue. In fact the day was spent a little more quietly than would have been liked for both Mrs. Whybrew and her daughter, Mrs. Theodore Minor, who make their home together, were ill with the flu.[1]

Word has been received of the death of Mrs. Ona (sic) Whybrew of Gladstone, a well known former resident of Mayfield, which occurred May 13. Funeral services were held Friday. Mrs. Whybrew was the only surviving member of the Barnum family which gave the Barnum Cemetery to Mayfield. Surviving are two daughters; one son and a number of grandchildren. [2]
