Biography

At the time of her second marriage it was noted that she was the widow of Col Thomas Middleton (1719-1766) and the daughter of Col. Nathaniel Barnwell (1705-1775). (There was an important war brewing at the time, which would provide a useful hostorical prism through which later writers could view the period.)
