Denise Barré was not the mother of Marie Castrie b 1570 in Mamers, Maine, France, and Marie was not the mother of Francoise Paigne (Marie Castrie was in fact the mother of Nicole Lemaire, wife of Gaspard Boucher).
There is confusion concerning the origin of Gaspard Boucher and Marin Boucher as to whether they are cousins or siblings. Gaspard and Marin were cousins:
- Gaspard Boucher is the son of Francoise Paigne and Jacques Boucher.
- Marin Boucher is the brother of Jeanne Boucher. Their parents are unknown.
Marin and Jeanne are often mistakenly identified as being children of Francoise Paigne and Jacques Boucher.[4]
