Biography of William Wilson Barr

William Wilson Barr was born on 24 Nov 1894. He was the son of Mahlon Harvey Barr and Annabelle Ross Foreman and the twin brother of Robert Lynn Barr. [1][2]

In about 1914 William married Edna Maude Bell. [3] They had the following children:

  • Anita Loretta Barr Cooper (1920-2017) [4]
  • Jeannette Keys Barr Miller (1922) [5]
  • Olive Patricia "Dickie" Barr Walters (1923-2000) [6]

William's wife Edna died at the age of 25 on 6 May 1925. According to her Death Certificate she died from polyemia following an incomplete spontaneous abortion or a miscarriage. This left William alone to raise three daughters. William worked as a plasterer in Keyser and Hyattsville. [7] On 23 May 1961 William passed away at the age of 66 in Hyattsville, Maryland. According to his obituary, he had remarried someone named Evelyn. [8]
