Colin was born in 1836. He was the son of James Barr and Mary Nichols. No spouse or children were found in records. He passed away in 1862. Served in Company A, 85th PA Regiment.
Colin probably lost his life in the Civil War 'Battle of Seven Pines' aka 'Battle of Fair Oaks' in Henrico County, Virginia on May 31st and 1 June 1882. From the history of this battle, 6134 Confederates and 5031 Union fighters lost their lives.
