Henry served as a corporal of Artillery in the East Indian Company and was stationed at Warley Barracks married quarters where their eldest son Henry Joseph was born. Henry appears to have left the East India Company by 1851 and was in Bristol for the birth of William Brewer in 1850.
According to Great Western Railway Records - Henry b. 16 Nov 1821, worked from Jan 1st 1876 as a Booking Clerk at Weston super Mare. His pay was twenty seven shillings and sixpence per week. Henry's employment record states he was previously employed with the Bristol & Exeter Railway Company which was absorbed into GWR. No prior employment records survive. Henry resigned from GWR Sep 1885.
In 1871 Henry and Louisa were living with 6 children living in Weston super Mare . Henry was a Railway Porter. [1]
