MRS. NANCY TRACEY.
Mrs. Nancy Tracey, relict of the late Mr. W. Tracey, passed away in the Moree District Hospital on Saturday. The deceased, who had reached the advanced age of 80 years, was born at Gulgong, but spent between 40 and 50 years of her life at Coonamble, where she was well known and highly respected. During her long residence there she was an ardent worker for her church and took an active interest in several movements for the progress of the town. Coming to Moree about six months ago to reside with her son, Mr. Joseph Tracey, the deceased lady, a few months after her arrival, entered the Moree District Hospital, where she remained for about a month. Improving in health, she returned to her son's home, in Warialda Street, but reentered the institution on Thursday last, and passed away on the following Saturday.
She leaves four sons and three daughters to mourn their loss, the former being Messrs. William Tracey (Dubbo), John Tracey (Coonamble), Joseph Tracey (Moree), and Martin Tracey (Moree), and the latter Mrs. J. Hughes (Coonamble), Mrs. Sykes (Patterson), and Mrs. J. McSherry (Sydney).
One sister also survives her.
The funeral took place on Sunday morning, the remains being interred in the R.C. portion of the cemetery. Rev. Father English administered the last sad rites. Messrs. Logan and Co. carried out the mortuary arrangements.
