Biography
Frederick William Barrett was born 29 Jul 1833 in Wooburn, Buckinghamshire, England to Edward Barrett and Lucy. He was christened in Hitcham, Buckinghamshire on 25 Aug 1833.[1]
In 1841 Frederick Barrett (age 7) lived at Wooburn Common in Wooburn with his father Edward (35-39), mother Lucy (45-49), sister Lucy (10), and Henry Hurn (15-19).[2]
In 1851 Frederick Barrett (age 17) lived at Chalvey Grove in Upton cum Chalvey, Buckinghamshire with his father Edward (46, Carpenter), mother Lucy (50), and sister Lucy (20).[3]
Frederick William Barrett married Louisa Vaughan in 1858. The marriage was registered in Kensington, London in the last quarter of the year.[4]
Frederick and Louisa had seven children: Edward William Barrett (1859-), George James Barrett (1861-), Henry John Barrett (1863-), Emma Barrett (1866-1866), William Frederick Barrett (1867-), Louisa Barrett (1871-), and Elizabeth Barrett (1875-1876).
In 1861 Fredrick Barrett (age 27, Gardener) lived at Cape of Good Hope in Upton cum Chalvey with his wife Louisa (24) and two sons: Edward (1) and George (0).[5]
In 1871 Frederick W Barrett (age 38, Agricultural Labourer) lived in Upton cum Chalvey with his wife Louisa (34) and three of his sons: George J (10, Scholar), Henry J (8, Scholar), and William F (5, Scholar).[6] Their eldest son, Edward (11, Oil Shop Boy), lived with Louisa's sister Sarah Walton in Brentford, Middlesex.
In 1881 Frederick William Barratt (age 47, Garden Labourer) lived in Upton cum Chalvey with his wife Louisa (44), son William Frederick (13, Scholar), and daughter Louisa (9, Scholar).[7]
In 1891 Frederick W Barrett (age 57, Gardener) lived at Ealing Road in Ealing, Middlesex with his wife Louisa (54), daughter Louisa (19, Assistant School Mistress), and grandson Henry E Barrett (9, Scholar).[8]
In 1901 Frederick Wm Barrett (age 67, Gardener) lived at Ealing Road in Old Brentford, Middlesex with his wife Louisa (64), grandson Henry Ed Barrett (19, Journeyman Baker), and boarder Richard Edw Mountford (25, Carpenter & Joiner).[9]
In 1911 Frederick William Barrett (age 77, Formerly Gardener) lived in Brentford with his wife Louisa (74).[10]
Frederick W Barrett passed away in 1912, aged 78 years. His death was registered in Brentford in the first quarter of the year.[11]
