Evalina “Eva” Nora (Barrett) Green is the daughter of Norman Barrett & Charlotte Barrett. She was born December 5, 1874[1] in Moira, Franklin, New York. On June 1, 1875 Evalina is living in Moira, Franklin, New York (birth location is estimated per the census of family in 1875) at the age of 6 months with her parents and siblings, Lulu F. Barrett age 6, Norman J. Barrett age 12, Ella M. Barrett age 10, Emma E. Barrett age 8; her father is working as a farmer & mother is keeping house. In 1880 Evalina age 5 was living in Bombay, Franklin, New York with her parents & siblings, Lulu Barrett age 11 (at school), William J. Barrett age 2, Norman N. Barrett age 17 (working as farm laborer), Ella M. Barrett age 15 (at school), & Emma M. Barrett age 13 (at school). Evalina’s father Norman is working the farm & her mother is keeping house. She married William Charles Green June 7, 1893 in the hamlet of Hogansburg In Franklin County, in the town of Bombay, New York, USA at the age of 18. She died early in life cause unknown (possibly childbirth to a baby boy?) She had one child Lottie Pearl Barrett (Green) Gibbs. However; new info is showing a baby brother who passed during childbirth per a relative’s report. Her parents adopted & reared Lottie from the ages of 5-18 until she married. Evalina (Barrett) Green tragically died at the age of 22 years, 8 months and 28 days September 2, 1897 in Moira, Franklin, New York, United States (buried in Moira actual place of death still being researched). (Per family Evalina died at Aunt Lu’s house in St. Regis Falls most likely same place Lottie’s brother was born & died)

Andrew - Here is the record when Lottie Pearl was married at age 18. William C. Green is listed as her father and Eva is listed as his wife, but I have not found a marriage record for Green & Eva yet. I would think that if her grandparents adopted Lottie, different names would have been used on Lottie's marriage document. And, then again, perhaps the family kept her birth father's name for Lottie's sake. Her mother did die when Lottie was only about 9 months old and in those days, a young father often went on with his life & the girl's parents took care of the baby. I will look further for a marriage record for Green. Cheers~ Shirleen
