James Benedict Barrett was born before the 31st December 1896, in Epsom, Surrey, England, the son of Cuthbert James Barrett and Louisa Jordan.[1] While the registration appears to show James and his brother John as twins, it may just be that they were registered at the same time, but born separately.
Louisa emigrated to Sydney, Australia on the "Ophir" departing England June 1898 with sons, John and James.[2] From there they went to Queensland.James married Mary Jane Moran on the 6th June 1922, in Queensland.[3]
James Benedict Barrett passed away on the 19th December 1968, in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, aged 72 years.[4]
James was buried at the Gleneagle Catholic Cemetery, Gleneagle, Queensland, Australia, alongside his wife, and nearby to where his parents lie.[5]
