Mary Barrigton Aldridge was born in 1735 in Norfolk, Independent Cities, Virginia, the daughter of Isac Barrington (1699- ) and Susannah Whitehurst (1704- )
She married Drewry Aldridge, Senior (1734-1793) about 1750 in Craven, North Carolina. They had:

- Jesse (1758-1796) m. Nancy Anne Hardy
- Mary (1760-1788)
- Martha “Patsy” (1762-1854) m. John Sugg, Jr.
- Thomas Barrington (1763-1810) m. Nancy Turner

- Richard M. (1775-1854) m. Lucy Pleasant
She died about 1790 in Greene, North Carolina.
