Notes

There are several censuses that have her "estimated" year of birth as 1818. If the age is correct, the "estimated" year of birth can only be either exact (1818) when census is after birthday, or the previous year (1817) when census is before birthday, never the next year (1819). I have a hard copy of the reference The Descendants of William E. Jordan & James B. Johnston which shows her birth as 24 Oct 1818. This would mean that the engraved birth date on the grave marker and at other internet sites are incorrect. A birth date of 23 Oct 1818 would not conflict with any other sibling listed at this time.

The birth date is 23 Oct 1819 on Nancy's grave marker, but WikiTree will not allow that since it is "within eight months of a sibling's birth date (Barron-2423 born 17 Apr 1820)" (it is actually within 6 months). This reference, William Thomas Barron Sr, shows Nancy's birth date as 23 Oct 1819, and William Thomas Barron Jr's (Barron-2423) birth date as 16 Apr 1825, not 17 Apr 1820. There is a William Thomas Barron with a grave marker, https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/68709678/william-thomas-barron, not showing "Jr" but with the birth date of 17 Apr 1820.

Also, at the Barron-2423 profile there is a long write up lower down, at "Note:" that shows his name as "William Thomas Barron Jr" (with "Jr") and says he was born "16 Apr 1825" which disagrees with the birth date higher up in the profile. It also says he is buried in Barron Cemetery in Amite County, Mississippi, but FindAGrave.com says that cemetery is 100% photographed and it does not show anyone who could be this Barron with a birth date in 1825 while, as stated above, it does show a 17 Apr 1820.

The actual 1880 Census forms show Nancy's father as being born in SC as does the WikiTree profile that is now set as her father.

Are grave markers wrong or are Nancy Barron and William Thomas Barron not siblings, even though there are at least two internet references that show that they are, or perhaps, whoever the grave markers are for are not siblings?
