Biography

Birth, marriages and death

1st husband: Sir Ralph Shelton (died by 1581). 2nd husband: Charles Cornwallis.

Anne was the daughter of Thomas Barrow of Barningham in Suffolk. She married in 1570 Sir Ralph Shelton (or Sheldon) of Shelton in Norfolk and High Sheriff of that county.^[1][2]

Lady Anne Shelton (Anne Barrow as was) married Sir Charles Cornwallis, as his second wife and her second husband, some time after 9 June 1585, when the marriage licence was granted.^[3] She and Sir Charles had one daughter before Anne died in 1617 in Barking, Essex.^[4]
