Joshua passed away in 1750-2 but certainly before his father's will is probated in April 1753. In his father's will his portion is given to their son Joseph.
On 3 December 1755 she remarried to Joseph Jordan at the Perquimans Meeting House[2]. Jane's son became his ward.
Joseph was a schoolteacher and in January 1756 he petitioned for the right to set up an "Ordinary at his then Dwelling House" near the bridge over the Little River (where Woodville now lies)[3].
When Joseph Jones' grandmother, Mary Jones, died intestate in July 1758 a portion of her estate was given "to Joseph Jordan, in right of his ward Joseph Jones"[4].
Her husband, Joseph, passed away 4 July 1760 in Perquimans[5]. Jane did not remarry again.
