Biography

She was born about 1737 and was the daughter of Hopestill (Darling) and Peleg Barrows. ^{[1] [2]}

Ruth Barrows married on 19 December 1771 at Plympton, Massachusetts to John Tilson, Jr. (1742-1820), ^{[1] [3]} son of Janet (Murdock) and Stephen Tilson. ^[2]

In their last years they resided at Carver with their son-in-law Huit MdFarlan. ^[2]

She died on 16 October 1820 ^[1] and was buried at Union Cemetery in Carver, Plymouth County, Massachusetts, USA. ^[4]

On 18 June 1821, the appointed administrator for the estate of her husband, John Tilson of Carver, submitted to the court that John died insolvent, with his estate insufficient to pay his debts. ^[5]
