James was born in the early 1930's. He and his family resided in the New York area. He had three brothers and one sister including: William Barry Jr, Edward Barry, Eleanor Barry and Richard Barry. (It is unknown at this time if he was married or had children.) James passed away on August 27, 1977, at the age of 45. He was buried at Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Auburn, Cayuga County, New York
