Eleanor Barry Lowman, a painter of flowers and other still lifes, died last Friday at Norwalk (Conn.) Hospital.
She was 78 years old and lived in Stamford, Conn.
Mrs. Lowman's paintings were frequently exhibited at galleries on Long Island and in Manhattan and London. She had also been chief editor of Harper's Bazaar in the 1930's.
She is survived by two brothers, Dr. Herbert Barry of Boston, and Stuyvesant Barry of New Hope, Pa. Her husband, Lawrence W. Lowman, who had been administrative vice president of CBS, died in 1980.
