Biography

Ray was Ojibwe.

Raymond Barstow was born in Minnesota, White Earth Reservation, 1932, the son of Elsworth H Barstow and his wife Delia, a White Earth Chippewa^[1]

In the Indian Census roll of 1932 we find Raymond's mother and 11 children, - three daughters and eight sons, Raymond being the youngest only two months old. ^[2]

In 1940 Raymond was 8 years old living with his family in Oakland Township, Mahnomen, Minnesota.^[3]

Raymond and his wife Vivian (Oliver) Barstow had three daughters and a son.

Raymond died in Arizona 1987, at age 55.^[4]
