  • i. Henry Barter; b. 7 Sep 1769 at Isle au Haut, Knox, Maine; b. 7 Sep 1769 at Kittery, York, Maine; m. Miriam Merchant, daughter of Anthony Merchant and Abigail Raynes, 12 Aug 1795; d. 23 Apr 1849 at Burnt Island, Deer Isle, Hancock, Maine, at age 79.
  • ii. Robert Barter; b. 18 Jan 1770 at Kittery, York, Maine; d. 16 Mar 1857 at Saint George, Lincoln, Maine, at age 87.
  • iii. Pelitiah Barter; b. 10 Nov 1771 at Isle au Haut, Knox, Maine; m. Mary Thurlow Trundy, daughter of Samuel Trundy and Ann Carey, 25 Oct 1795 at Deer Isle, Hancock, Maine; d. 1852.

BARTER, PELETIAH, Private. Enlisted service in the same company as John Barter, senior, before mentioned, at same date, also put on the " Raleigh" for same reason ; entered Jan. 25, 1777, as a seaman, five feet and ten and a half inches tall, dark complexion, and an American. He was thirty-four years old in 1776, and residence was Kittery. Probably did not remain long on the " Raleigh." Baptized, Aug. 23, 1741, in First Parish, infant son of H. Barter, Jr.
