Isaiah (also spelled many other ways including Ezaya), was the son of John and Martha Bartlett and was born 13 June 1641[1].
He married Abiah Gillette in 1663.[2] They had two children, John and Isaiah. Jr. Isaiah died in 1665.
Abiah/Abia Bartlett, Isaiah's widow married John Slater/Slaughter in 1669. Isaiah's name is shown as both Elisha Bartlett and Eyaya Bartlett, in her marriage record. Windsor Vital Records also lists a death of "__esay" which says he died in 1666. The Vital records also show "Esaih" Bartlett died July 13, 1665.[3]
Errors to avoid
He is shown in many unsourced family trees with a death date of 21 Nov 1716, in Simsbury, Hartford, Connecticut, however that information is incorrect based on his widow's remarriage in 1669.
