• Richard Bartlett was born early-1831 to John Bartlett and Elizabeth Smith and christened on 5 Apr 1831 at Holy Trinity, Coventry. ^[1]
• In 1841 census Richard was age 10 living at Gosford Street, St Michael, Coventry, Warwickshire with father John (48), mother Elizabeth (46), sisters Elizabeth (16), Sarah (12), brothers John (14), Thomas (6), Henry (4). ^[2]
• In 1851 census Richard was age 20 living at Gosford Street, St Michael, Coventry, Warwickshire with father John (59), mother Elizabeth (55), sister Elizabeth (26), brother Thomas (15). Occupation Loom Maker. ^[3]
