Biography

Elizabeth was born in 1814. She was the daughter of Joseph Bartlett and Mary Chick.

Christening Date: 8 May 1814
Christening Place: Somerset, England[1]

She married James Hallett on 28 January 1836 at Hardington, Somerset, England.

UK Census Date 1841: Living with her husband and two daughters Sarah Ann and Mary Jane in Chinnock Hill, East Chinnock, Somerset, England. Aged about 25.

Elizabeth, her husband James and their two daughters emigrated from England to New Zealand, travelling on the ship Clifton, sailing from London on 2 October 1841 and arriving into Wellington on 17 February 1842.

They had about four children after their arrival in New Zealand.

Her husband passed away in 1894 at the age of 80.

She passed away in 1908 at the age of 96.
