  1. Elizabeth Bartley (last name may have been Bartlett or Bartell) began as a hired girl in the Mansker house. Samuel had children with Elizabeth while he was still married to Nancy Crawford. After Nancy died, Samuel married Elizabeth, the second of Samuel's four wives.

Bartell-88 and Bartley-819 appear to represent the same person because: These are the same person as evidenced by family information. Note that the tombstone gives the death year of 1853 as opposed to 1852, and this is corroborated with a listing for the Mansker Cemetery.
