Biography

Thomas Jefferson Barton was born on the 4th of July, 1854 in Mifflin, Pike, Ohio.^[1][2] Thomas married Plezzie Kneisley on 18 Sep 1879 in Pike Co., Ohio.^[3][4] They had a large family including:^[5][6]

In 1900, he gives his occupation as carpenter and farmer. Up until the 1920 Census, they had always lived in Mifflin Township but by 1920, he and Plezzie and their two youngest children had moved to Paint, Ohio.^[7] The children moved out by 1930. He and Plezzie remained in Paint, Ohio.^[8] He died on May 8, 1940 in Hillsboro, Ohio of chronic prostatitis and chronic cystitis. He was 85 years old.^[9]
