Biography

Clyde was born on 5 Sep 1898 to Linville A. and Katie (Tye) Barton in Youngs Creek, Whitley County, Kentucky. ^[1]

When Clyde register for the World War I Draft on 12 Sep 1918, he was 20 years old and listed his mother, Kate Barton, as his next of kin. They were living in Youngs Creek, Whitley County, Kentucky at the time.^[2]

He married Lula Marie Brown on July 17, 1923^[3] and they had five sons together.^[1]

In 1944, Clyde sold his part in the company Wood and Barton Company of Frankfort, Kentucky.^[1]

By 1966, he was an agricultural leader and was farming and raising livestock.^[1]
