Sibill was a Friend (Quaker)

Biography

Sibell was born in Keasden in Clapham Parish, Yorkshire, England on 1 January 1656, the daughter of Andrew Barton and Mary Hobson.

Her father died when she was only three years old and Sibell was his only surviving child, as her sisters all died young.

By the time she reached adulthood, Sibell had become a Quaker.

She married late in life, marrying first at age 33 to Thomas Robinson in 1689. After his death, Sibell remarried to widower, Thomas Wildman in 1695. Both marriages took place at the Monthly Meeting at Settle, Yorkshire.
