George Burnett Barton was born on 9th December 1836 in Sydney, New South Wales (Australia). He was the second son of William Barton and Mary Whydah. [1]
He married Margaret Parnell in July 1865 in Holy Trinity Church of England, Sydney. [2]
He passed away on 12th September 1901 in Goulburn, New South Wales. [3] At the time, his younger brother, Edmund, was Australia's first Prime Minister.
