Pamela (Cox) Criswell
This is not the James Barton, son of Mahlon Barton/Anna James. This James was born in Indiana, married in Indiana, and died in Indiana. He is buried at the IOOF cemetery in Francisco, Gibson, Indiana with his wife. I'm sure that this Barton is very probably of the same stock as Mahlon, but he is not the direct ancestor.
