Biography

Grace was born about 1790. She was the 2nd dau of Thomas Barton Esq. of Grove, Co. Limerick and Mary Ponsonby, daughter of Chambre Brabazon Ponsonby of Ashgrove.

She married Kingsmill Pennefather on 18 December 1816 ^[1]

Lieut. Col. Kingsmill Pennefather died suddenly in 1819.

Grace went to Italy and married Major Angelo Galeazzi of the Austrian service around 1826. She passed away in Florence, Italy in 1863.

She is buried in the Friedhof Monbijou Verwaltungskreis Bern-Mittelland, Bern, Switzerland cemetery. ^[5]

Letters of administration for Grace Galeazzi otherwise Pennefather, otherwise Barton, late of Florence, Italy, widow deceased who died 27 August 1863 Berne, Switzerland were granted to Mary Pennefather of Dunmore near Durrow in the Queen's County, spinster, the daughter only surviving next of kin.
