Biography

Emrich (also spelled Emrick) Bartosik was born in 1879 in Skalica, Slovakia, although during his life he would see the name of his country changed to Czechoslovakia. In 1907, he immigrated to America and lived a relatively quiet life in New York. He died on January 26, 1952, and is buried in Saint Cyril Slovak Catholic Cemetery in Binghamton, New York.

Research Notes

I included a record of a baptism of Emericus Bartossik because the birth year and country matched and the names were very similar. I recognize that there could've been multiple Emeric(us) Barto(s)siks born in 1879, but I'm having trouble finding any others, and this record has names for a mother and father. Just in case!
