Birth

August was born on November 2, 1884 in Fall Creek, WI to Edward Bartz and Ernestina (Mieske) Bartz. He was the tenth of their 13 children. August was baptized on November 17, 1884.[1][2][3]


Family

August married Karoline Lustig (1881-1966) in Canada. Exact date and location are currently unknown.

Death

On August 28, 1965, at the age of 80, August passed away in Bethune, Saskatchewan, Canada. He is buried in Bethune Cemetery.[4][5]

BARTZ
Saturday, August 28, Mr. Paul August Bartz, age 80 years, dearly beloved husband of Mrs. Karolina Bartz of Bethune, Sask. The late Mr. Bartz is survived by his wife; one son, John, of Disley, Sask.; three daughters, Mrs. (Helen) R. Lines of Lumsden; Mrs. (Edna) G. F. Whittet of Bethune, Sask., Mrs. (Pauline) W. J. Hill of Lumsden, Sask.; also nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A family graveside service will be held at the family plot in the Bethune Cemetery, Tuesday, August 31, at 2.30 p.m. Rev. W. G. Portman will officiate. Flowers gratefully declined. Arrangements in care of Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Ave.
