Biography

Alice (Basher) Hall was born in Cornwall, England.

Alice Ann Basher was born in about 1845, her birth being registered at Helston, Cornwall in the 3rd quarter of that year^[1]. She was the daughter of Richard Basher and Elizabeth Lampro.

She was christened on 23 August 1845 at Cury, Cornwall^[2].

In the 1851 England Census Alice Basher (aged 6) was recorded living with her father Richard Basher (43 and an Agricultural Labourer), her mother Elizabeth Basher (41) and her siblings Mary Basher (16), Richard Basher (12), Jane Basher (9) and James Basher (2) at Gilley Lane, Cury, Cornwall, England.

By 1861 Alice Basher (aged 15 and a House Servant) was recorded in the household of Alexander Pengilly (46) at Trerise, Ruan Major, Cornwall.

She married Richard Hall in 1864 in Helston, Cornwall^[3].

They had two children.

Sadly Alice passed away in 1868 at the age of 22^[4].
