Jonathan R. Bass is born November 25, 1830 in Cambria, Niagara, New York, United States. He is a son of Fanny Richardson.
In 1848, he had a series of rheumatism attacks that left him unable to walk without crutches and canes. The rheumatism led to akylosis and ossification of his joints, tendons, and muscles.
In 1869, he lost his eyesight.
In 1887, Bass begsn his sideshow career at Niagara Falls. He then works his way across the United States. He is known as "The Living Mummy."
Jonathan dies September 13, 1892 in Lewiston, Niagara, New York, United States.
