Robert was born in 1889. He is the son of Hardy Bass and Eleanor Jarrett. In 1900, the family was living in Meriwether, Baldwin, Georgia.
Robert registered for the WWI draft in Macon, Bibb, Georgia in 1917. He passed away in 1918.
Burial was in the Memory Hill Cemetery, Milledgeville, Baldwin County, Georgia. A small newspaper notice posted on his Find A Grave: Memorial #17859810 stated that He was a private serving in Company "B" of the 321st Machine Gun Battalion. He was killed by shrapnel while serving in France in Oct 1918.
