Biography

Priscilla Basset And Ebenezer Dawes, Jr. filed intent to marry on 18 Nov 1775 in Kingston, MA. ^[1] The were married thirteen months later, on 14 Dec 1776 in Kingston. They were both of Kingston. ^[2]

In 1790, Reverend Ebenezer Dawes lived in Scituate, MA. The household included two white males over the age of 16, one under 16, two white females, plus one other free person, and no slaves. ^[3]

Ebenezer Dawes and Priscilla Basset had at least eight children, as recorded by the Kingston Town Clerk. Their family record is as follows: son Moses, born 22 Feb 1776, died 26 Dec 1779; daughter Desire, b. 22 Nov 1778; dau Loving, b. 30 Nov 1780; dau Huldah, b. 12 Jan 1783; dau Hannah, b. 3 May 1785; son Abraham, b. 25 July 1787, d. at Duxbury; dau Welthia, b. 6 Sept 1791, d. 12 April 1868 (76); and dau Lydia, b. 6 Sept 1794. Ebenezer died 2 May 1822 (72). Priscilla died 13 Dec 1838 (86). ^[4]

Priscilla was born in 1759. She died, aged 78-79, on 13 December 1838, and is buried with her husband in Old Burying Ground Cemetery, Kingston, Massachusetts. ^[5]
