Biography

Josiah BASSETT [1][2][3][4][5][6] was born [7] 12 Jan 1793. He died [8] 2 Mar 1877 and was buried [8][9] in Great Hill Cemetery, Seymour, New Haven, CT. Josiah married Betsey BASSETT.

Josiah Bassett, born on 12 Jan. 1793 in Derby,[11] married Betsey Bassett,[11] daughter of Capt. Isaac and Betsey (Tomlinson) Bassett.[12] She was born ca. 1796 in CT. Calculated from her age in the 1850 federal census. They were living in Seymour, CT, in the 1850 federal census, where he was a farmer.[3] She died on 12 Sept. 1864 in Seymour, CT,[12] and he died on 2 Mar. 1877 in Seymour, CT,[11] and they were both buried in Great Hill Cemetery in Seymour, CT.
