Biography
Benjamin was born on 3 June 1819, in Harwich, Massachusetts. He was the son of John Bassett (1771-1848) and Priscilla (Eldredge) Bassett (1795-1848). [1]
Benjamin Bassett married Sally (Eldridge) Bassett (1818-) 23 December 1837 in Harwich, Massachusetts.[2]
Their children:
- Albert, b. 17 Nov 1840
- Benjamin, b. 17 Oct 1844
- Sarah Jane, b. 5 Jul 1845
- Infant Son, b. 1848, died in one month
- Henry, b. 1849, d. 1852
- Susan L., b. 15 Mar 1851
In 1850, Benjamin (age 33) and his wife Sally (age 34) are living in Harwich with their children: Albert (age 7), Benjamin (age 7), Sarah (age 4), and Henry (age 1). [3]
No record of Benjamin's death has been found.
