She was the daughter of Samuel Bassett, b. 17 Apr 1747 in Yarmouth, Barnstable, Massachusetts, d. 4 Jan 1824 in Barnstable, Massachusetts, and Mary Howland, b. 25 Jan 1755 in Barnstable, Massachusetts, d. 18 Jun 1783 in Barnstable, Massachusetts. She married Prince Jenkins in Massachusetts in 1797 and they had five children:

Anna Bassett died in Anderson, Madison, In on 16 Sep 1862 and is buried in there in Jefferson Cemetery.
