Anna Bassett was born on 22 May 1778 in Barnstable, Mass. She was the daughter of Samuel Bassett, b. 17 Apr 1747 in Yarmouth, Barnstable, Massachusetts, d. 4 Jan 1824 in Barnstable, Massachusetts, and Mary Howland, b. 25 Jan 1755 in Barnstable, Massachusetts, d. 18 Jun 1783 in Barnstable, Massachusetts. She married Prince Jenkins in Massachusetts in 1797 and they had five children:

  1. Crocker Jenkins, b. 15 FEB 1799 in West Barnstable, Massachusetts, d. 7 Oct 1866 in Franklin, Indiana
  2. Prince Jenkins, b 11 Nov 1803 in Franklin, Indiana, d. 28 MAY 1851 in Indiana
  3. Oren Jenkins, b. 13 MAY 1806 in Barnstable, d. Unknown
  4. Elisha Bassett Jenkins, b. 23 Feb 1808 in Barnstable, d. unknown
  5. Lydia Crocker Jenkins, b. 5 May 1813 in Barnstable, d. unknown

Anna Bassett died in Anderson, Madison, In on 16 Sep 1862 and is buried in there in Jefferson Cemetery.
