Johnson was born about 1813. He passed away about 1881.
Johnson wrote a will on August 29, 1881, in which he identified only his wife, Melvina. He left her all of his personal and real property, with the expectation that upon her death she would divide it as she thought best. He also mentioned that the children "of my first wives" had long ago been given more than their share, and desired that what little he had left should go to his current wife.
The will was filed in the county court on January 25, 1882, and entered for probate on May 15, 1882. [1]
