Daughter of Uriah Basham and Rhoda Simmons Basham.
Name
The name "Miriam Fox" engraved on her husbands headstone. Believe her headstone is missing. His was broken and laying flat on the ground.
Initial P or middle name Pain is not proven. I have never seen any records with her middle initial nor name.
Birth
The 1850 census shows her birth place as Virginia, USA; 1860 census shows Tennessee, USA; 1870 census shows Virginia, USA as birth place. Some researchers show her birth place as Jackson County, Tennessee, USA but I believe it was in Virginia, USA. In 1804, her parents were married in Franklin County, Virginia, USA. In 1805, her older sister was born in Virginia, USA.

Basham-558 has as her spouse Bartlett Anderson Fox (Fox-1382). The other profile Bassham-24 has as her spouse Meredith Anderson Fox (Fox-4263), who according to his birth and death dates would more likely have been her son and not her husband. It would seem that the spousal connection between Bassham-24 and Fox-4263 should be disconnected, and then the profile Bassham-24 should be merged into Basham-558. Basham (just one S) appears to be the correct spelling for the LNAB.
I did not propose a merge yet in order to give all interested pms a chance to evaluate the profiles. I will post this message on each of the profiles themselves.
