The SAG Families Register lists another brother as (f6) Albertus Johannes born circa 1820, who married Anna Alida Catharina Lochner. I believe this may be incorrect and it may be this Albertus Johannes who married her, even though he stated his age as 26 at his marriage in 1846. There appears no evidence of a brother baptised in 1820 (there is different Albertus Johannes Basson baptised in 1820 in Swartland, but he married someone else) and his mother's probate record did not list two sons named Albertus Johannes (although he may not be listed if he died young). I will therefore attach the marriage to Anna Lochner to this profile and if another brother is found later on, then it can be moved to him. Added 26 August 2021 by André Laubscher
