Elizabeth Bast was born in Sedley in 1911. She was the daughter of Rochus Bast and Christina Obrigewitsch. She was educated in Sedley. She attended University of St. Michael's College & University of Sakatoon.
Sister St. Mark was a member of IBVM Sisters of Loretto.
For 50 years she taught in, or was principal of elementary & secondary schools in Ontario, Saskatchewan and Alberta. She passed away in Toronto in 1996. Predeceased by siblings Sr Agatha Philippa & Sr Celestine St. Jude.
