Biography

Elizabeth Bast was born in Sedley in 1911. She was the daughter of Rochus Bast and Christina Obrigewitsch. She was educated in Sedley. She attended University of St. Michael's College & University of Sakatoon.

Sister St. Mark was a member of IBVM Sisters of Loretto. For 50 years she taught in, or was principal of elementary & secondary schools in Ontario, Saskatchewan and Alberta. She passed away in Toronto in 1996. Predeceased by siblings Sr Agatha Philippa & Sr Celestine St. Jude.
