Biography
STEPHEN BASTIAN was born in 1813, in Crowan, Cornwall, England, to John Bastian and Jane Bastian [Holman]. In 1840, aged about 27, he immigrated to the United States. Stephen died on 3 August 1902, aged 89, in Galena, Illinois, United States.
Stephen Bastian aged 34, married Priscilla Bastian Downing on 21 December 1847 in Jo Daviess, Illinois, USA.
They had eight children:
- William H Bastian in 1847, son from wife's first marriage to William Collins.
