Biography
Benjamin was born in 1889. He was the son of John Bastin and Jane Cocker.
In 1911 he was working as a servant, a domestic gardener, in Loudwater, near Chorleywood, and living in the gardeners bothy with three other young men.
He married Harriet Chard in 1914.
He passed away in 1917 in Flanders.
