Biography

Hannah Basye was born after 1712, in Northumberland County, Virginia, a daughter of Edmund Basye and his wife, Lydia. [1]

1766-1770 Northumberland County, Virginia Record Book #7; [Lewis & Booker]; Page 366 Everitt, Thomas W. W. 13 April 1769---W, P. 12 June 1769 Son Thomas Everitt, and my wife Hannah Everitt all my lands, and if one should die the other to have it as long as he or she shall live. After my son Thomas Everitt, and my wife Hannah Everitt's death, I give all my lands to my son William Everitt, to him and his lawfully begotten heirs of his body. My Cubbard not to be removed off my plantation after my death. After my wifes death-all the rest of my estate to be equally divided among all my children; William, Thomas, Jedithun, Jemima, Jesse, Elizabeth, Hannah, Gideon, Suckey, and Edmond Everitt. Son Edmond. Everitt, to have good schooling to the value of one thousand pounds of tobacco. Son Thomas Everitt, and Hopkins Harding, executors. Witness: William Nutt, William Parrott, and Edward Garner.
