Research Notes

There was an Anna Batchelor born 6 Aug 1769, daughter of Mark B and Priscilla of Sutton.[4] But this is five years off. However, this Mark Batchelor made a will in 1817, making bequests to his wife Priscilla, and-- among others-- to daughter Anna Higby;[5] therefore Mark and Priscilla were not the parents of Anna Batchelor Flagg.

We simply do not know yet where she was born or who her parents were. The research note refers to Anne Batcheller Higby, Batcheller-150, daughter of Mark Batchelder-1771 & Priscilla Baker-38439. Anne was born 25 Jul 1764 in Sutton, Massachusetts, baptized 6 aug 1769 in Grafton, Massachusetts, married (widower) Jeremiah Higby-331 (also Higbee), Elder of the Baptist Church on 27 Oct 1806 in Sutton, Massachusetts and removed to New Hampshire where her husband had his ministry. After Anna died 27 Oct 1837, Jeremiah married Mehitabel Crane.

This Anna Batcheller is also not the daughter (Anna/Hannah) of Mark Batchelder-1699 and Dorcas Priscilla Bartlet-101who married Nathaniel Ward, the son of Joseph Ward-25019 & Experience Stone-3824.
