It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Nathaniel by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
Y-chromosome DNA test-takers in his direct paternal line on WikiTree:
It seems this profile should be about Nathaniel Bachiler, son of Rev. Stephen--it reports his father and apparently his children. BUT, it reports the wives who should be (and alternately are) associated with his son.
See the profile of his son, Nathaniel Batchelder, Jr./Batchelder-9 for the wives:
Smith-969
Carter-336
Unknown-152427
I created unmerged matches between what are duplicate profiles of the wives. Seems VERY important to sever the "wife" relationships below from Batchiler-8 before those merges occur:
Smith-2539
Wyman-82
UNKNOWN-10575
Thank you in advance for any assistance you are able to provide.--GeneJ
Great Migration doesn't report a son born to Stephen Bachiler in 1587, but did suggest "say 1590" for the birth of the eldest child, a son named Nathaniel.
Would it make sense to thus consider this unidentified son as the eldest and merge 'em?
